From Corporate Professional
to Social Entrepreneurship
A journey of transformation through strategic business collaborations
As an ACMA, CGMA-qualified professional (Chartered Global Management Accountant) with a proven track record in finance and marketing, I made the strategic decision to transition from the boardroom back to my family's entrepreneurial roots in township business development.
The Eyethu Intuthuko Legacy: Third-Generation Township Entrepreneurship
My entrepreneurial journey is deeply rooted in family tradition. The original Eyethu Intuthuko Trading store, established by my grandparents, laid the foundation for what would become a multi-generational commitment to community empowerment. "Eyethu Intuthuko" means "our development / progress" in isiZulu, reflecting our philosophy that business success should belong to and benefit the entire community.
From those humble beginnings captured in vintage photographs of the original store, our family business has evolved through three generations, each building upon the last while adapting to changing times. I represent this evolution, combining traditional ubuntu values with modern business acumen and innovative collaboration strategies.
Today, as CEO of ZS Uniforms and Chairperson of the Threads for Ikasi Foundation, I carry forward this legacy with a clear mission: ensuring no child misses school due to lack of proper uniform, while building sustainable business collaborations that create lasting employment and uplift our entire community.
